Swann Family Reunion 2010
Posted on July 29, 2010
Last week, we headed to Junction, UT for a family reunion on my husband’s side. We had a fantastic time together, getting reacquainted and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the small community. There were so many beautiful places to take pictures…I was in heaven! It was hard to leave that place.
Here is my husband’s sister and her family on the little bridge that was on the property we stayed at. My husband took this photo just as the sun was setting.

Here is all of Kevin’s immediate family members together. This alfalfa field was by far my favorite place to take pictures…. Kevin’s cousin’s wife, Leilani, took this picture for us.

Kevin’s sister and her family again. Kevin got them laughing pretty good here. Perfect smiles! Love this one!

Here is our little family. Leilani took this one again. It has been my fantasy to have a picture of our family taken like this for many years. I am so excited that I finally got one, I’m going to make a BIG print for our wall. Sigh…

This is Kevin’s brother’s family. Wendy, our sister-in-law, chose this cool place for their portraits. So much fun and texture here.

I had to try out some edgy and urban edits here. Perfect for a tween young man!

Aren’t those handsome young men little heartbreakers? Love those boys!
I had fun with different edits for Darin & Wendy, too. I couldn’t decide which edits I liked better so I just included all of them. <3

Sigh….I’m ready to go back for more.

Senior Pictures – Blake

Blake is a natural! He was so easy to work with and was willing to try out several different things. And he’s a great guy on top of everything!

Doesn’t he look so GQ in his suit? I love it!

This is one my favorites!!!

The backlight was awesome to work with here.

I love this one, too! Such a cool dude!

I played with textures a little bit on a few of these pictures. Too fun!

This is such a “California-look.” Very edgy and all-American!

My Niece

My little niece is such a ham! We had a great little session together with my wonderful assistants.
What a cutie pie she is!

I love these little moments they have when little ones at this age are discovering or exploring something and are so intrigued by it. So precious!

Our Family & My In-Laws

These are the last of the candid pictures from Christmas. My girls, my hubbie & I, and my in-laws. I can’t help but smile when I see these!

My mother- and father-in-law are wearing sweatshirts that have a special embroidery design with their airplane and N-number on it…a gift from my brother- and sister-in-law.

My Girls
Posted on February 10, 2010
Yesterday, I took my girls out to a barn that belonged to a friend of the family. Since they had a horse the girls could pet in between photos, they were more than happy to oblige.
We had 4-5 clothing changes and the girls didn’t seem to mind at all. They did a great job posing for their momma! I had fun spending time with them and felt a little sad to see how much my babies have grown. Since my girls like playing the part of cowgirls on occasion, a rustic theme seemed appropriate for their pictures.

I couldn’t decide which one I liked better so I edited all 3 of these photos of Tara.

A dear friend knitted these caps for the girls and I knew I wanted pictures of them wearing them. I just love how they turned out!

This cap wasn’t knitted, obviously, but Brynne is always wearing this combination and I thought it would make a great picture. Very fitting for my little missy ma’am!

The Nilsson Family

Here are a few more pictures taken at Christmas time of my sister-in-law and her family. What cutie pies they are!
Below is Miss R, a sweet girl who brings joy to all around her.

This is Mr. E. (I think he looks a lot like my husband when he was young.) He is kind and well-loved.

This is Miss M. She is full of life and is ready to take on the world!

Here is Sandee (Kevin’s sister) and Darron. I can’t believe I actually got this picture of Darron…he loves to joke around and this is the only picture of the bunch where he’s not goofing around. They are a perfect match!

McGhie Family
Posted on January 12, 2010
A few days before Christmas, we snuck out with the McGhie family to get some family shots in an orchard. (I say we because I brought my own little helpers along, my daughters Brynne & Tara.) The sun came out just in time for the shoot.

What a sweet little family they are! And this little boy below, Mr. K., has enough energy to outrun marathon athletes! But give him a few snacks, and he’ll pose for you…

Miss L. was not feeling well but Daddy knows just the right way to get her to smile.

This is my favorite picture of Nichole! I love the way her hair drapes and blows gently across the front of her shoulder.

Here’s a little more dramatic pose!

And this is Bryce, the father of the lovely group! I love his GQ pose!

I’ve known Jefferson ever since we were in grade school. His siblings and my siblings were all so close in age and we all grew up in the same ward together. It’s beginning to feel like a childhood reunion of sorts.
Anyways, Jefferson & Ethel were young marrieds when Kevin & I were young marrieds and we all moved out of our home wards and ended up in the same ward together in another Stake. I got to know Ethel as her visiting teacher and what a hoot she is! We love them both! Now they have two sweet boys in their family…Baby & C. Such a sweet little family they are!

The Littles

Ruth & Rea (pronounced Ray) Little are my best friend’s parents. They asked me to take their pictures as Christmas gifts for their children this year and I thought that was such a precious gift to give your children. You see, they have 9 children (Jenn is #8) so they have a large family whose ages have a broad range. They are such a fun couple. Rea is a born salesman and comedian so he was quite humorous during the entire shoot.

This one next to the rose garden is so sweet and endearing!

And this one below is a million words all in one picture! They’ve been married for over 40 or 50 years, raised 9 children together, and have overcome some large challenges in their life and yet they continue moving forward, together! What an inspiration they are to me!
